Alain GED is a Professor in Corporate Strategy, Finance and Entrepreneurship at IAE Aix-en-Provence which is the Graduate School of Management of the University of Aix-Marseille. He held the Dean position from 2001 to 2009.
He holds a Master in Economic Science, University of Aix-Marseille (1977). He also graduated from the Graduate School of Marseille with an MBA (1976) and holds the Chattered accountant diploma (1980). His PhD from the University Paul Cezanne was in the strategic area (1981).
His fields of specialization are corporate strategy, corporate finance and entrepreneurship. He published in many journals in those fields. Recently his research topics were dealing with corporate governance.
Alain GED has been for 6 years a member of the EFMD board and is nowadays involved inside the awarding body of Equis accreditation committee. He audited numerous top business schools around the world and consulted several of them. In addition to this, Alain GED has been President of Euro*MBA Board which runs a business schools consortium, one of a few in Europe.
He also consults numerous corporate clients and is involved in different clusters in France where he helps new start-ups and spin-offs grow. He privately runs an international industrial company, mostly involved in professional cooking equipment.
