Martin graduated from the University of Coventry in England, with an honours degree in Business Administration (1988) and later worked in consulting businesses before starting a 20-year career with the Gdansk Foundation for Management Development (GFMD) in Poland. He obtained an MBA from the Graduate Business School, University of Strathclyde, Scotland (1994). Finding himself in one of the most rapidly changing and dynamic economies in Europe, he was exposed to numerous organisation development projects as well as supporting major international businesses establish successful operations throughout the Central and Eastern European region.
Martin also lectures on Strategic Management on the Executive MBA at RSM Erasmus University, Netherlands.
Martin works with senior management teams of international businesses in the area of strategic planning and organizational development in both industrial and service sectors. Particularly rewarding initiatives have been the design and successful implementation of innovative change management programs introduced to management and staff across diverse cultures and businesses, including Grupa TP, Philips, Matsushita (Panasonic), Nestle, and more recently, FM Logistic (IKEA, Carrefour).
As a leadership consultant Martin specializes in working with international management teams at board and at functional level. Projects have been completed in ING (banking and insurance), Heineken, International Paper, DONG Energy, FLSmidth, LOT Polish Airlines and Fiat. Martin has also designed and delivered highly successful leadership development programmes for DSM, Nordea, and Kendrion.
Martin is an Executive Consultant in the Leadership Pipeline Institute.
